This was inspired by what I saw looking out the window of the bus on my way to New York at 6:00am

A cleaned up drawing of a character I made for what will either be an illustration or a fake production still. I went through a Bleach phase recently so I have no shame in admitting that this is completely anime-inspired. I just realized there is a problem with the left arm's proportions. I started drawing it in perspective but didn't push the effect far enough. I also realized I made his head too big.

I started having fun with bamboo reed pens.
I really enjoy the variety of possible strokes as well as the feel of bamboo on paper.

"La Rencontre"

I was part of a week-long international workshop between students from EESI, Glyndwr University and Uarts. The result was a short film entitled "La Rencontre" for which I did some background design and some compositing.

Character in the snow

A visual I thought of one night and decided to try and render the next morning.
The character is hand-drawn, photographed (because to big to fit in the scanner) and edited in photoshop.
